My great grandfather was a Methodist circuit rider in Missouri in the 1800’s. After 20 years in another denomination, I returned to my faith roots as I fell in love with John Wesley, and have served as a pastor in the Missouri United Methodist Conference for over 20 years now. My ministry settings have been mostly in small town, rural, county seat churches in North Missouri. As I have been appointed to the Mark Twain District, it is like coming home to churches and locations I have grown up with and have a deep affection for. The experience I bring to the District is that of a fellow disciple seeking ways to help churches make more disciples of Jesus Christ. I find strength and joy in worship and fellowship with other folks on the journey. Part of the work I am most excited to be doing is that of encourager for pastors and congregations. Each day holds a new opportunity to share the connective love we have in North East Missouri.
My wife Sandy and I both were raised in Brookfield, Missouri. We were childhood sweethearts and have been married 46 years. We have three grown children and nine grandchildren, mostly in Missouri. We are empty nesters with a 10 lb. cat, Punkin, and a 6 lb. dog, Charlie.
