LOGIN AND VOTING CREDENTIALS
Wondering how you will receive login credentials for the June 8 virtual clergy session, June 11 boundaries training and voting credentials for the June 12-13 annual conference session? Your registration to annual conference is the only registration you need. Clergy with voting rights in the closed clergy session will be automatically registered for the session, scheduled for June 8 at 10 a.m. Login credentials to this GoToWebinar will be emailed to registered clergy beginning the week of May 31, after Memorial Day. Clergy registered for annual conference will be automatically registered for the June 11 boundaries training from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Login credentials to this Zoom Large Meeting event will be emailed to registered clergy beginning the week of May 31, after Memorial Day.
Voting for the 2021 session will be conducted using Vistacom’s VPOLL for E-Voting. Registered clergy and lay members to annual conference will be emailed voting credentials beginning the week of May 31, after Memorial Day. To vote in the annual conference session, you will need to have a device with internet access to watch the session and to cast your vote. This is true for both in-person attendees and virtual attendees. The voting platform will allow for credentialed clergy and lay members to vote from any device, such as a computer, tablet or mobile (smart) device.
Based on our initial testing, the optimal experience for those attending virtually will be to watch the streamed session on a computer or TV screen connected to the internet and to vote via a secondary device, like a smart phone or a tablet. A secondary device is not required but will make it a better experience for you. Each voter will have their own login voting credentials sent ahead of the session. Multiple voters can share the same device, but they will need to login and logout for each voter. There will be generous time allowances on votes to make space for this type of voting. However, we encourage individual voters to use separate devices to cast votes for the sake of convenience and ease of use. One suggestion for a local church with one clergy member and one lay member might be to stream the virtual session on a church TV or computer monitor for watching the session together plus two laptops or other smart devices for the clergy and lay member to cast their individual votes.
There will be two offerings taken during the course of the two-day session. During Opening Worship on Saturday, an offering for Missouri Health Initiatives through Festival of Sharing will be held and on Sunday morning during the Celebration of Ministry: Commissioning and Ordination Service will host an offering for Missouri Migrant and Refugee Support. We are not printing hard copies of the Conference workbook any longer. It will be available for downloading in early May at www.moacinfo.com/downloads, and you will be able to print it if you so choose.
Please note that the Conference Journal is not included with registration. If you wish to receive a printed Journal, please indicate this on the appropriate line of the registration form, adding $40.00 to your registration fee for a paper version or $6.50 for a CD version. The Journal is available free on the Conference website in pdf form once published. If you are not attending the session but want a Journal, you MUST pre-order it and pay the appropriate fees. To be good stewards, we will not print “extra” journals.
