Student Ministry Development Opportunity
posted on March 15
Have you been struggling to develop a sustainable, volunteer led, student ministry?
Ministry Leading Institute (www.MinistryLeading.org) has developed a cohort program that is transforming this reality for many churches and they are offering financial assistance to get this program to more rural churches.
The cohort program runs from August to May. It is a three year program for which participants earn 24 hours of college credits in theology and practical ministry. The cohort meets monthly and is now primarily online, so it is now more accessible for busy volunteer leaders.
The MO United Methodist Foundation is offering a grant for rural churches. Also, the Institute is adding a double matching grant to that. Along with a district grant, one rural church in our conference is currently paying $4000 (spread out over three years) for this $15,000 program.
If you have a volunteer, or paid staff person, who has not been educated in student ministry this is an awesome opportunity that will transform your ministry or help your church start one.
Check it out at www.ministryleading.org/cohorts. You can also get in touch with Laura Murphy at the Foundation.
